FIVE people were arrested for allegedly attacking a young man in the Son Gotleu district of Palma.
The events began on August 27 when five youths got into a violent argument with another who eventually had to seek refuge in Son Gotleu.
The four men and a woman, residents of Corea, headed to the area and allegedly attacked him with bottles and knives, leaving him in the street covered in blood. He was taken to hospital with numerous cuts although none had affected any vital organs.
National Police questioned him and launched a search for his attackers who were arrested earlier this month for causing grievous bodily harm. They appeared before a judge and were later released. One of them had been arrested for violent crimes on 20 previous occasions.
