A TWELVE-year-old girl’s request has led to Marbella Council drawing up a register of restaurants in the city that provide gluten-free dishes.

The Tourism Department’s website is to publish the list, Councillor Miguel Luna explained, following suggestions from the girl, who asked for a way to be found to inform locals and visitors of what the city offers for people with coeliac disease.

Luna explained that the establishments on the list have been tested by sufferers and all offer gluten-free dishes or specific menus.

“It’s very important for Marbella establishments to support the coeliac cause,” the councillor said, inviting any restaurants that offer these dishes to contact the council to be included on the list.
