61-YEAR-OLD man has drowned today (September 7) Casarones, Rubite (Costa Tropical) due to the strong rains.
According to the authorities’ version, the man was a security guard in a greenhouse area. After noticing the intense rain he decided to take shelter inside a vehicle which wasw then dragged by water, causing his death by drowning. Guardia Civil and Local Police officers are currently still working in the area to retrieve the body.
Other seven vehicles have been dragged by the water in the ara of Rambla de la Rabita and other damages are being caused by the rain.
The traffic authorities have closed down several roads in the Granada province for risks of landslides.
