Instant cleaning service success

THE new immediate waste collection service launched a couple of weeks ago by the Velez-Malaga Council has registered as many as 66 calls made by residents of the town.

Environment and Cleaning councillor, Marcelino Mendez-Trelles, stressed that the great majority of these calls were related to street furniture issues. He also announced that they are currently working to allow residents to send their complaints and pictures depicting the subject of concern so that the Council can solve it instantly.

“Keeping a clean city is a joint effort, that is why we call for and appreciate residents’ collaboration to be able to guarantee it,” said the councillor.
