Singer takes up role as Almeria’s ambassador

ALMERIA-BORN and internationally renowned singer David Bisbal has once again been chosen to promote his home region’s tourist attractions.

On this occasion, the artist will expose his athletic and adventurous side to highlight the Costa de Almeria’s sport and active tourism programme.

Head of Almeria Provincial Council, Gabriel Amat, and the singer this weekend signed an agreement through which he will become the ambassador of the Costa de Almeria brand.

“It is an honour for me to become Almeria’s face once again,” said the artist. “Both the provincial council and my team have been working for a while on a new promotional video of our province as a tourism destination.”

“For us, it is a great satisfaction to count on an artist such as David Bisbal to promote our province, as he has always been available for us when we have needed him, and on this occasion, even more so as he is very fond of sports and visits the province frequently to practice cycling, diving and other sports,” said Mr Amat.

He explained that the new video includes scuba diving scenes, as well as kayaking and cycling.

“I believe Almeria has a lot to offer in terms of landscape variety, and I am very pleased to be able to experience it first hand,” added Bisbal.
