THE AVE high speed train is on its way to Almeria, according to members of the regional parliament.
Head of the Andalucian Partido Popular, Juanma Moreno, said during a meeting he held with Mojacar business owners that President of Spain, Mariano Rajoy, had given a strong commitment to have the AVE high-speed train arrive as soon as possible in Almeria. However, he stressed that the project would have to first be completed in Murcia, and it is expected that will happen at some point this year.
“The government is working hard to have the AVE arrive in Almeria, to boost its agriculture exports, which reach many corners of Europe,” said Mr Moreno.
