Thousands of lightning bolts cause blazes in Murcia

MORE than 10,000 lightning bolts hit Spain on Monday (August 31), according to the Spanish Meteorology Agency.

Many hit the region of Murcia, causing several fires. In total, according to the information provided by the 112 emergency services, the fire brigade had to extinguish four blazes in Lorca, Totana, Carrascoy and Santomera.

Fortunately, the rain halped dampen the flames in Santomera and Totana.
