THE Crescendo International Choir is returning from summer break to start rehearsals on September 4.
The group meets every Friday at 9.30am in El Paraiso Bar near Carrefour in Torrevieja and is a mixed choir comprising many nationalities. They have an exciting programme of music to prepare for various concerts leading up to Christmas and beyond.
New members are always welcome, with more male singers always needed. Ability to read music is not essential since they have helpful teaching discs as well as weekly rehearsals to produce a polished performance.
Crescendo was formed in 2004 and has gone from strength to strength and every year sees an improvement in performance. It is now regarded by many as one of the best expat choirs in the area. As well as the enjoyment given to audiences and the social aspects for the members, the choir supports local good causes and over the years has raised thousands of euros for charity.
Crescendo offer a good way to meet new friends and improve your social life, so pop along to the first rehearsal on September 4 or call Helen on 966 717 582 for more information or Martha (Dutch/Spanish speaker) on 966 713 601.
