NEEDLESS is to say, Nerja is one of the most tourist-friendly places in the Malaga region.

The Town Council wants to express their gratitude to the large number of visitors that the town receives every year with a pioneering event, the Day of the Tourist, which will take place on Friday, September 11.

Activities are to be kicked off at 12 noon, with a ceremony at the Plenary Hall in the council, where the municipal music band are to be bestowed with the title of Tourism Ambassadors, as they carry the name of Nerja to every corner of Spain.

In the afternoon, there will be a parade and live music by Zurrapas Band at the Balcon de Europa. Here, there will also be a wine tasting, with a great finale with fireworks.

The Nerja Business Owners association is to set up stands to offer a great variety of products, also during the afternoon in the Balcon de Europa Arches.
