TORROX is slowly but surely becoming one of the most culturally active centres in the Axarquia region.
The Roman Archaeological Site Interpretation Centre has extended its opening hours and improved the service by adding new highly qualified guides, specialising in history and archaeology.
Oscar Medina, mayor of the town, said that the investment in this centre was made to highlight the important remains found in the area as well as serve as a tourist attraction.
The facilities can now also be visited in the afternoons, from 6pm to 10pm as well as from 10am to 2pm.
“We are also considering launching a nighttime tour event during September,” said Culture Councillor, Maria Angeles Ruiz.
