A DUTCH man was arrested in Almeria as he had a detention order issued against him in Morocco for a drug trafficking sentence.
The 48-year-old man was due to spend 10 years in prison after being found guilty of attempting to smuggle 170 kilos of cannabis hidden in a car in 2012 through the Beni Anssar port.
He was picked up at Almeria Port during a routine control of passengers coming on the ferry from Nador (Morocco).
The detainee has been remanded to prison in Almeria to await extradition.
