Concerns over John Keeble as Spandau Ballet forced to cancel concerts

SPANDAU BALLET has had to cancel three concerts planned in Spain this week (Barcelona, Ibiza and Marbella) due to drummer John Keeble’s ill health.

The band was forced to cancel a concert in Italy after Keeble was taken ill and doctors have decided he is in no fit state to perform this week, leading concerts in Barcelona, Ibiza and Marbella to be cancelled.

Although no details have been given by the group as to the type of illness Keeble is suffering, Spanish daily La Vanguardia has reported that he had a heart attack.

In an official statement the band said: “Cancelling shows is always something that we try to avoid and we are so sorry to let our fans down, but our priority at this time is John’s health and his recovery.”

Tickets will be refunded at points of purchase, the organisers announced.
