IF you enjoy watching sports in a contemporary, stylish setting with a family atmosphere then a visit to Bar Sport Albir must be at the top of your list.
The newly opened Sport Bar is not what you would imagine when visiting a sports bar. The premises have been completely refurbished with an eye for detail and style. It has nine large screen televisions so you do not miss a second of the match and has a very modern feel. They can seat over 100 inside and there are two terraces outside.
Big Tony who looks after the day to day running of the bar is very proud of the stylised setting. Big Tony said: “Albir did not have a sports bar until now and we think that Bar Sport Albir will be the place to come and watch whatever sport you prefer.” Bar Sport Albir is also focusing on creating a family environment. Children are very welcome and the vision behind the bar is to create a place where families can come and enjoy sport together.
They will be opening a kitchen in the near future which will offer an indoor barbecue and grill which will serve classic burgers, chips and more. There will be daily specials and for those who enjoy a great breakfast then Bar Sport Albir is the place to go.
For the adults there is a well stocked bar with many familiar names on tap. John Smiths, Fosters, Olde English Cider, Strongbow, Carling and Estrella are all available, chilled to perfection for your enjoyment. The sporting philosophy is that if people want to watch it, they will show it.
Big Tony said: “We will show all the major events, from football to golf to rugby to cricket but also if there is a game or match a customer wants to see and we can show it we will.” The bar, which is already decorated with classic sporting images, will be dressed with stylish sporting memorabilia, something more classy than the usual signed football shirts.
If you like music as well then Bar Sport Albir will deliver that. Big Tony said: “We play music from the 50’s to the present day. When we are not showing sports we will be playing music and if a customer wants a certain style then we will try to play it for them.”

Bar Sport Albir is open from 12.00pm until 1.30am but will be opening from 10.00am in the near future.
