Elderly man telephones police to confess to murder in Granada

A 72-YEAR-OLD man from Amilla, Granada, telephoned the Guardia Civil on Monday August 17 to advise them that he had killed his 68-year-old wife with an axe.

Agents who immediately attended his house reported that they found a woman´s body with one single injury, and an axe. There was no history of previous domestic violence and the man who attempted to take his own life had no record of any past wrongdoing.

No reason for his action was released at the time of his arrest.
