HONOURED: The infant and youth queens and ladies of honour were there for the official presentation.
LAS CHAPAS fair has changed its dates and location this year and will be running from August 21 to 23.
The event will be held on the grounds by La Vibora Baja urbanisation by popular demand as the area is more spacious and has other advantages, Las Chapas councillor Miguel Diaz announced.
The councillor was joined by Festivities councillor Manuel Garcia and the infant and youth queens and ladies of honour for the fair to officially present the event.
Susana Stamm Joho, Pro Dunas association spokeswoman, will be giving the opening speech at 10pm on Friday and the fair will be launched and the queens and ladies of honour crowned half an hour later.
Along with sports events running for the duration of the event, a novelty this year will be a children’s water party at 6pm on Saturday.
On Sunday there will be a Typical Dishes competition at 2pm, free paella at 2.30pm and a fan competition at 4.30pm.
Marbella singer Lorena Bernal will be performing at 5pm, followed by music and dancing.
