Albir hits 45 degrees on another scorching day

TEMPERATURES in the south of Spain climbed into silly figures once again on Thursday. Official forecasts had predicted 39 degrees on the Costa Blanca and 38 degrees on the Costa del Sol, but the heat on the street is often a little more fierce than the weathermen say.

As our picture from Albir shows, the mercury rose way into the 40s, making it another record-busting, roasting day.

However, it should be the last for a little while at least, with the forecasters promising a drop over the next few days.
