Caught out by Apple technology in Malaga

AN ALLEGED thief was caught out recently by technology when a man whose bag had disappeared was helped by Local Police officers using a Find My iPhone app to track the phone down. 

The 39-year-old victim and two officers followed the trail to Malaga city centre. They caught up with the suspect, and he at first denied all knowledge, but when the alarm went off in his bag, the 52-year-old, who had been begging at tables in the café where the victim’s bag went missing, claimed he had found the phone on the street.

Although the officers searched the suspect there was no sign of the €100 in cash that was also reported missing.
