A THOMSON Airways passenger jet flew the body of Cilla Black back to Gatwick Airport in the UK from Malaga on at 11am on Friday (August 7), following her death after a fall at her Estepona home on August 1.

Her three sons Robert, Jack and Ben will fly back to the UK on Saturday to prepare for her funeral, thought to be taking place next week in Denham, Buckinghamshire. St Mary the Virgin Church is expected to be the venue for the ceremony, as it is also where her husband Bobby’s funeral took place after his death from cancer in 1999.

The autopsy revealed that Cilla had died from a rare stroke after sustaining a head injury from a fall while sunbathing on her terrace at her Estepona home. She was found around four hours later by her son but paramedics were unable to save her.

Cilla’s return to the UK comes exactly a week after she arrived in Spain on Friday July 31 to spend a relaxing holiday with her son.
