Youth orchestra to show off talent in Almuñecar

THE JOSE youth orchestra of southern Spain will be giving a concert at 10pm on August 27 at the El Majuelo park auditorium in Almuñecar.

Orchestra representative Antonio Peralta announced that the concert would be directed by Michael Thomas and offer Brahms’ Concert number one for violin and orchestra and New World, Dvorak’s ninth symphony.

Tickets priced at €10 are available from Viajes Ecuador in Almuñecar, Hotel Estrella del Mar in Playa de Poniente and the Calderon theatre in Motril, or two hours beforehand at the ticket office.

For those in Motril, the concert will also be performed at the Centro de Desarrollo Turistico at 9pm the next day (August 28).
