Summer robberies spark concern in Jesus Pobre

A SPATE of robberies in the Jesus Pobre area has scared residents and led to the Guardia Civil alerting people to be vigilant. There were four break-ins during the night of Saturday August 1 in the vicinity of Jesus Pobre.

A British couple returned home, just off the Carretera Jesus Pobre, to find that their door had been forced and valuables taken. They called the Guardia Civil who attended but could not find any fingerprints. They informed the couple that there had been four other burglaries in the area on the same night.

The couple had seen two ladies the previous week and had been asked if they wanted to buy an intruder alarm. The Guardia Civil said that any suspicious people should be reported to them immediately on 965 791 085.

when I worked in that area it was well known for the robberies that occured there some even done during the day when people were sitting in the garden.
We warned our visitors about it to no avail.
I arrived one day to find passports on the table under an open window- when I had a go at them about it they could not understand what they had done wrong.
