Palma attracts royalty and celebrities

CROWN Princess Mary of Denmark has been spotted in the streets of Palma.

She was seen shopping alone in the city, and it is not known if her husband, Crown Prince Frederik, and their four children, are also on the island or awaiting her return to Grasten Palace, their summer residence.

Spain’s King Felipe VI arrived in Mallorca last week with his daughters, and despite the recent death of her grandfather, Francisco Rocasolano, Queen Letizia joined them on Thursday.

Meanwhile, German model Claudia Schiffer was also spotted last week at one of Mallorca’s most exclusive and expensive restaurants, the Flanigan, which is a favourite with King Juan Carlos I.

The model owns a home in Mallorca and although she hadn’t been on the island for some time, she was spotted with her husband, Matthew Vaughn, and their five-year-old daughter Cosima Violet. Claudia is expected to celebrate her 45th birthday at their home in Camp de Mar, Andratx, within a few weeks.
