ALMERIA CITY’S Loma Cabrera neighbourhood is plagued with ticks, residents complained. They first asked the municipal authorities to do something about the ticks now abounding in the public gardens in Calle Jardineros almost three weeks ago, they said.Antonio Fernandez realised what was happening after walking his dog some weeks back, said Antonio Fernandez. On reaching home he had to remove at least 40 ticks from the family pet, Fernandez said, but worse was to come when he found them indoors.“I thought my dog could have brought them but a neighbour who doesn’t have pets she said they were inside her house too.”City hall claimed not to have been informed about the ticks but said it would include Calle Jardineros in its fumigation programme.
