BEACHES are being well looked after at Cuevas del Almanzora.“We give our beaches preferential attention because they are leisure areas for the population,” said Works and Services councillor Jose Maria Bascuñana. “They are one of the principal signs of our identity and cleaning and maintaining them is a priority.”The town has put the municipal Beaches Plan into action, with an exhaustive and daily cleaning schedule, Bascuñana said, as well as new services incorporated at the principal beaches.“As well as new toilets at Palomares and Cala Siret, wooden walkways have been installed at the Quitapellejos beach in Palomares and Playazo de Villaricos, along with new volleyball nets,” the councillor announced.
