THE third edition of The Juergas Rock Festival will be held in Adra for the second year in a row.
This rock event is scheduled to take place between July 31 and August 1, when thousands of ‘Juerguistas’ (Spanish for ‘party-lovers’) will gather at the Playa del Censo, where a stage has been prepared for the occasion.
More than 20 bands and solo artists will participate in the event including Asian Dub Foundation, The Toy Dolls, Hora Zulu, Kiko Veneno, La Excepciion, Soziedad Alkoholika and Eskorzo amongst others, artists who are very well known in the current Spanish rock scene.
On July 30, the organisers will host a welcome party where participants will be able to enjoy performances by guest artists including the Mojinos Escozios, Maniatica and Cizaña. There will also be alternative activities such as a market and a free camping site.
“We are delighted as we have surpassed by far the number of expected visitors, and are currently expecting at least 7,000 people per day,” said Antonio Alcaraz, one of the organisers. “We have a fantastic team who are doing their utmost to finish up all details.”
