THREE teenagers who were admitted to hospital after suffering the effects of inhaling chlorine in the water park Aqualandia Benidorm were kept in for observation for a second night.According to sources at the medical centre the boys were “clinically stable” and were likely to be discharged.Two adults were taken to Levante Hospital, around 2pm on Wednesday (July 22). They spent the night at the medical centre before being discharged. A total of 13 people swimming at the park suffered consequences from raised levels of chlorine, according to sources at the complex.Chlorine poisoning can cause burning of the eyes, respiratory problems and fluid on the lungs, swelling of the throat and stomach pain as well as vomiting.
