A MAN aged 49 has been arrested in Malaga City suspected of holding up a bank, a tobacco shop and an ice cream parlour in the city centre all in one afternoon.
A man had entered the bank branch at 2.12pm brandishing a ham knife and escaped with €400 in cash after threatening a teller, then at 5.45pm a tobacco shop also reported a similar incident during which €500 was stolen, although this time the culprit dropped the knife on his way out.
Later, at about midnight, another report came in of a man who tried to steal cash from an ice cream parlour and threatened employees with a sharp object.
National Police officers arrested the suspect, who was wearing the clothes described by the parlour employees, on Calle Armengual de la Mota just after 1am.
