Escorca mayor to press on with Tuent car park plans

THE Mayor of Escorca, is sticking to his plans to create a car park in Tuent, despite the concerns of Belgian residents in the area.
The conservative Partido Popular mayor Antoni Solivellas spoke with the approximately 20 Belgian homeowners who spend their summers in the area and said they were now happy with the project to create a compacted area where cars can be parked.
However, a local man who attended the meeting says the Belgians are against the project as they believe the car park will be surfaced with tarmac and that busloads of tourists will be brought in.
