British woman who died in Lanjaron bungee accident named

A BRITISH woman who died on Tuesday (July 21) in a bungee jumping accident in Lanjaron, Granada, has been named as 23-year-old Kleyo De Abreu, 23, from London.
The accident happened at about 2.45pm on a bridge near the A-44 road when the victim crashed into a wall and was left dangling from her ropes.
Although the fire brigade and Guardia Civil were called to the scene by a passerby nothing could be done to save the young woman’s life.
Investigations are underway to determine exactly what happened, and initial police reports said that the woman from London had employed the services of a local adventure sports company and the accident was witnessed by her aunt, with whom she was staying.
The Foreign Office has said it is ready to offer consular support.
