Fuengirola’s second Park of Life is born

FUENGIROLA’S second ‘Park of Life’ is being created on the beach in Los Boliches, by Arroyo Pajares.
Featuring a sculpture of an open hand to match the one in place at the town’s first Park of Life, opened earlier this year, the new green area covers approximately 750 square metres and will provide a garden area at the back of the beach which can be used by the public all year round.
Mayor Ana Mula said after a visit to the site: “People now want more than just sun and sand and are making us innovate. That’s why we thought it would be a good idea to create green areas by beaches, specifically on parts of the beach that are hardly used due to their distance from the water, to encourage use of all our coastal area.”
The open hand sculptures by Charo Garcia aim to symbolise care for the environment and Fuengirola’s generous character and commitment to nature, the mayor explained.
