ACCESS to health care is to be extended to illegal immigrants to give them the same conditions as other users of the Valencian public health network.Regional councillor for Health, Carmen Monton, said: “The fundamental right to comprehensive health care for all people is non-negotiable for the Valencian government.”It is expected that this week the Personal Information System (SIP) will incorporate the changes needed to extend health care to new beneficiaries, in collaboration with the Valencian Society of Family and Community Medicine and Doctors of the World.Immigrants will therefore have access to a basic common service portfolio.
