Twelve die on Spanish roads over weekend

TWELVE people have died in road accidents in Spain between 3pm on Friday July 17 and 12 midnight on Sunday.
There are nine other people who sustained injuries, according to the information released by the DGT (National Traffic Authorities).
Saturday (July 18), registered the largest number of deaths (six) with five injured in six different accidents.
Two of the victims were bikers and most of the accidents took place on urban, single-lane roads.
Out of the twelve accidents, seven were caused by vehicles swerving violently out of the road, while five were collisions. Five out of 12 vehicles involved were older than 10 years.
So far this year, 567 people have died on the roads across Spain.
