Police seize knife in road rage killing of Donald Lock

POLICE investigating the killing of Great Grandfather Donald Lock, believe they might have found the murder weapon.

A knife thought to have been used in an alleged road rage stabbing has been found by the West Sussex police. They said that they have now seized a knife and sent it for forensic examination, and added that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.

Donald Lock, 79, was stabbed after a minor fender bender on the A24 near Worthing on Thursday 16. Some 18 hours later, a 34-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and is now being questioned on suspicion of murder.

Mr Lock, who was a keen cyclist and described as ‘full of life’ had recently been given the all-clear from cancer.

Paul Rymarz of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, told Sky News, police were still looking for any witnesses to the attack, which had left Mr Lock’s family ‘devastated.’

He added: ‘Mr Lock was the victim of a violent, unprovoked attack that he had no chance to defend himself against.’
