GOVERNMENT sources revealed on Tuesday (July 14) that a scamming incident last year almost cost Gibraltar £700,000 when a government employee inadvertently authorised a payment. Fortunately, the employee realised his mistake before the payment went through. The attempted email scam happened in April last year.
