EL CHORRO LAKE: Where a 54-year-old woman drowned.

TWO children are in Intensive Care and a woman has died in water-related accidents in Malaga Province.
The first accident to occur was on Wednesday, July 8, when a 12-year-old Norwegian girl almost drowned in a Jacuzzi on Estepona’s Bahia de la Plata urbanisation. Ambulance staff arrived to find the girl not breathing and with no pulse, but managed to revive her. She was taken the Costa del Sol hospital and later transferred to ICU at Malaga City’s Materno Infantil children’s hospital.
On Sunday afternoon the girl, still in a serious condition, was flown back to a hospital in Norway.
On Saturday a two-year-old boy from Alhaurin de la Torre was also admitted to the hospital’s ICU after almost drowning in a private pool on Calle Estornino. Meanwhile on Sunday a 54-year-old woman drowned at El Chorro lake. Witnesses called the emergency services as she did not appear to be breathing. However, they were unable to revive her.
