Tenerife man sets ex partner on fire

A WOMAN has died today (July 10) after been splashed with petrol and set light in Santa Cruz de la Palma (Tenerife).
National Police arrested the woman’s former partner shortly after, as he is reported by local police to be responsible for the murder.
The events took place at around 12pm at the shop where the victim worked.
The main suspect was also severely burnt and was taken to a hospital where he remains under police custody.
The woman had been taken to hospital but died shortly after due to her injuries, according to the 112 emergency services.
