La Nucia resident Hildegard celebrates 104th birthday

HILDEGARD GÖTZ has lived in La Nucia for 42 years. On Sunday July 5 Hildegard celebrated her 104th birthday at her apartment in the Montebello Residence in the town. She was visited by the councillor for Foreign Residents, Bart Gommans, who presented Hildegard with a small gift to mark this very special, landmark birthday.
Hildegard has been through two world wars, has lived in Berlin and Dresden and now loves her adopted home in La Nucia. Her husband was a doctor and the couple ran a sanatorium. They visited Spain on holiday in 1963 as guests of friends and liked it so much they moved into one of La Nucia’s first developments in 1973.
When asked to reveal the secret of her longevity Hildegard said: “I think it is the extraordinary climate in La Nucia.”
The Euro Weekly News would like to wish Hildegard a very Happy Birthday.
