THE Costa del Sol musical community is rallying round to help a severely disabled man get the specialist equipment he desperately needs.
Brendon is 18 years old and has been disabled since birth. He needs equipment to enable his parents to lift him in and out of bed and a vehicle car ramp to enable access for his wheelchair.
On hearing of his need some of the Costa’s top performers have got together to hold a special fundraising concert. They are all giving their time free with proceeds going to buy the equipment.
The concert will be held on July 23 at La Catarina in poligono La Campana, Marbella, where all the proceeds will go to purchasing the equipment.
The event will feature artists who are giving their performances free, and in some cases giving up prior engagements, to support the event. In addition the owners of La Catarina are giving the use of their venue free and donating a proportion of sales on the night to the fund.
Artists include Jade Law, La Negra Mayte, Baz Williamson, Antony Wolfson plus special guests. The night will close with an acoustic set by Terry Shaughnessy from the highly acclaimed UK band, The Universal. Compere for the night is Steve Cline.
The event is being supported by the following media partners: Euro Weekly News, City FM, ON TV, and Marbella Now TV amongst others.
Tickets are limited to 200 and will cost €15. They are available from Tibilis Cafe (next door to the Passion Cafe in La Colonia San Pedro) and La Catarina. Enquiries to Anna on +34 609 585 343.
