UNEMPLOYMENT has dropped in Malaga Province for the fifth month in a row.
Figures for June revealed that 3,835 fewer people (just over two per cent) were registered as unemployed, bringing the total number down to 181,394.
This time last year there were 8,375 more jobless people registered in the province, giving an annual drop of 4.41 per cent.
The best results, as expected at this time of year, came from the services sector with 2,075 fewer people looking for work.
Following a number of months which saw women left out, in June the numbers were almost equal for both sexes with 1,923 men and 1,912 women finding work.
Yet there is still a notable difference as 98,181 women remain jobless compared to 83,213 men.
