King of Spain visits Mexico

SPANISH royals are talking politics and taking in the sights on a three-day trip in Mexico, the first official state visit to Latin America since King Felipe VI assumed the throne.
The king and queen were welcomed by Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto with a cannon salute and military parade.
King Felipe will address Mexico’s Senate today (June 30), promoting the economic and cultural ties between the countries. Spain is the second largest investor in Mexico, just behind the USA, with more than 5,000 Spanish companies investing more than €49 billion in the country.
The royal couple will explore the northern state of Zacatecas for a cultural tour tomorrow.
