Police raid suspected drug network in Velez-Malaga

A SUSPECTED drug trafficking network has been dismantled by National Police in Velez-Malaga.
Six people of ages ranging between 21 and 44 years old have been arrested and charged with crimes of drug trafficking and membership of a criminal organisation.
The operation began at the beginning of June when officers from the Torre del Mar National Police station were told about drug-dealing activities taking place in several properties in a neighbourhood in Velez-Malaga. Officers launched a surveillance deployment in the surroundings of said properties.
In several home searches, police seized 115 grammes of cocaine, three precision weights, several items for the preparation and distribution of the substance as well as €4,600 in cash and a revolver.
The six detainees have been remanded to prison.
