When comedians publish books, you wouldn’t normally hold your breath for much more than some cast offs from their routines. However, Ansari, best known for his role in the cult US comedy Parks and Recreation, has spent two years working on this thoroughly researched, but most importantly hilarious, study of how people worldwide find love in the 21st century. He teamed up with an NYU sociologist to conduct hundreds of interviews and focus groups, resulting in a sharp and incisive throwing together of comedy and cutting edge social science.
