BRITISH airline Jet2.com and its branch Jet2holidays will start flying to Palma de Mallorca as of February 2016.
The company has announced that a new line will open between Palma and Manchester (February 11), with up to three flights per week and another one between the city and Leeds, twice per week starting on February 26. There will also be a flight between Edinburgh and Palma starting at the beginning of March, twice a week.
The tour operator Jet2holidays has also signed an agreement with 20 hotels on the Island to offer accommodation to travellers who arrive during the winter months.
“We wished to do our bit to help combat tourism seasonality, an issue that has been in the spotlight for quite some time,” said representative of Jet2.com, Steve Heapy. “It is a pleasure for us to offer this destination to our British customers, as well as offer Mallorcan travellers a different option for their getaways to the UK.”
