Church news from Anglican Chaplaincy

NOSTALGIC: Square-dancing brought back memories for many.

COSTA Blanca Anglican Chaplaincy hosted another popular traditional barn dance at the Church of San Josep in La Fustera, with Father Steve Foster setting his banjo aside to act as ‘caller’.
More than 50 parishioners and friends discovered they could still remember some of the steps from their childhood days alongside others who had never formed a square in their lives but quickly picked it up. Nearly €800 was raised in support of the work of the chaplaincy.
La Fustera Church is to present ‘Murder at the Palace’ at 7pm on August 24 at the home of Andrew and Kathy Johnson, a whodunnit to which you can bring your own picnic. Tickets are €12.
More information from Andrew@Johnsons UK.com Calpe Church is to hold a musical evening in the gardens of Finca Jacaranda in Pedramala at 6.30pm on September 11, featuring duo Intermezzo performing light opera and stage shows.
Again, you take your own picnic! Tickets at €12 from Len Hartley on 965 847 210.
