WINNING the title would be a major coup

ALMUÑECAR (pictured) and Rincon de la Victoria are vying with each other to be named the most charming town in Spain.
Together with another 24 Spanish towns they have been selected for the Top Ciudades 2015 project, with one of the 26 to be named a winner.
Just being named as one of the carefully selected contestants on the Hotel.info website-backed competition is expected to give the towns involved a tourism boost with the extra publicity involved. Winning the title would be a major coup.
The online site is looking for the most charming towns with a population of below 60,000, which have a variety of tourist attractions, including an interesting old town, cultural centres and an extensive choice of activities for visitors.
The project is also promoted internationally, and the winning town is expected to gain widespread recognition and a boost to its visitor numbers.

To make Almuñecar or Rincon de la Victoria the winning town, those interested can vote at www.hotel.info/es/citymoments/top-ciudades-2015 before July 14. In addition, voters will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win five €200 gift cards from hotel.info.
