Thyssen clan attends baptism

THE THYSSENS, a family of renowned art collectors and museum founders and one of Spain’s richest dynasties, gathered on Sunday in Madrid to celebrate the baptism of Kala, the youngest child of Borja Thyssen y Blanca Cuesta.
The whole family attended the service in the Madrid church Padre Angel. The only ones missing from the celebration were the baroness’ twins, Carmen and Sabina, who were studying abroad.
The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid is one of the capital’s most-visited tourist attractions, housing a vast collection of modern art. Malaga’s Carmen Thyssen Museum houses the collection belonging to Baroness Carmen Thyssen, mostly 19th century pieces and particulalry representative of art from Andalucia.
