The University of Gibraltar to open in September

GIBRALTAR’S Education Minister, Gilbert Licudi, has announced that the University of Gibraltar will open its doors to the world on Monday September 21.
This institutional landmark for the Rock will be chaired Jose Julio Pisharello, who along with Peter Montegriffo QC, was appointed to the board of governors by the minister on Thursday June 18.
Mr Licudi also announced the launching of the university’s website, unigib.edu.gi which will offer information on the academic syllabus as well as Gibraltar in general.
The Education Minister described the day’s events as highly significant steps towards making the ambitious dream of a university in Gibraltar a tangible reality.
