Pego Golf plays for Javea Cup

PEGO Golf Society entertained 51 entries on June 9, for the prestigious major trophy called the Javea Cup, where the format is a pair’s Two Ball Medal competition, with best ball counting at each hole.
Captain Brendan Young welcomed three guests, Derek Lindley, Terry Oram and Brian O’Connor, who won the guest prize. Brendan Young won the Javea Cup along with his companion Paul Trigwell. The actual results were as follows:
In first place, and the winners of the Javea Cup were Brendan Young and Paul Trigwell with a net 62 points. Runners up were Mike Cuerden and Mervyn Joseph with a net 63, followed by Steve Patton and Roger Miller on 64 in third. Fourth spot was secured by Colin Foster and Alan Simpson with a net 66.
