IT took firefighters more than 40 minutes to cut free from his vehicle a 76-year-old French man who died yesterday (Wednesday 20) after driving into the back of a lorry, emergency services reported.The man (identified as CL, born in Casablanca) was driving towards Algeciras on his way to catch a ferry. His car was destroyed after hitting the lorry, which had broken down on the A7 motorway near Sotogrande, and the man was reported to have died instantly.
