School summer fair raises funds for abandoned animals

THE British School of Marbella’s summer fair raised €1,208 for Triple A animal charity. Families, staff and children enjoyed games including sponge the teacher, flip-flop throwing and shoot the duck during the annual fundraiser.
Other activities included a parents’ bar and a host of international stalls run by parents.
Triple A, a charity that looks after abandoned and mistreated animals in Marbella, also brought along some puppies for the children to meet.
Emma Watkins, Head of Administration at BSM, said: “A fantastic time was had by everyone. We raised a massive €1,208 for Triple A who have been thrilled with our help, support and generosity over the past year.
“Plenty of food, drinks, entertainment and good friends raising money for a worthy cause made a fabulous mix for our last fair of the year. A massive thank you to all who participated and made it such an enjoyable day!”
Jan Weima, Secretary for Amigos de Animales Abandonados, added: “We are obviously very pleased with this sum of money, which will go towards our monthly costs of nearly €30,000. We are delighted with the continuous support from the British School of Marbella.”
