PALMA’S underground has increased in popularity with the number of passengers in April 3.8 per cent higher than in the same month last year.
The latest data from the National Statistics Institute indicates that during the fourth month of the year, 104,000 users travelled by underground in the Mallorcan capital.
The data is significantly more positive than the numbers registered in March, which saw a four per cent drop in passengers using the public transport.
Public bus use in Palma de Mallorca in April also increased by 4.1 per cent, the third greatest increase in Spain beaten only by Sevilla (five per cent) and Bilbao (4.8 per cent).
